EMO 2019

on 27th August 2019

Europe’s biggest machine tool show, EMO Hannover, is nearly here and provides a great opportunity for our Principals – Takumi, Toshiba, Nomura, FAT Haco, FFG DMC and Gruppo Parpas – to exhibit some of their machine tools.

Our newest principal, TAKUMI have announced two machine tools that will be on their booth D52 in Hall 27. The U600 5-axis machining centre will be at the exhibition and offers manufacturers high speed machining and outstanding surface finishes. The ranges cover both 4+1 and simultaneous 5-axis machining capability, the choice of model selectable on the contouring and positional features of the component. The H10 bridge type machining centre has exceptional rigidity and is achieved by 4-6 roller blocks per guideway and the headstocks have been designed shorter and lighter to decrease deflection. The top roof cover has sliding sections for ease of overhead part loading and the H10 has a 15,000rpm spindle for high speed machining using small diameter tools.

TOSHIBA, our oldest principal, will be at booth E81 in Hall 27. Toshiba will be promoting the range of machines and new technology available, including machine tools, injection moulding machines and ultra-high-speed micro machines. As part of a new European initiative, Toshiba, also known by their historical name of Shibaura Machine, will be announcing new office locations in Europe, including a closer relationship with Leader CNC as their Main European Dealer.

One of the innovations is additive manufacturing and machining of complex hard metal aerospace components such as engine castings. The ZK-T2010 machine can produce parts 2 metres in diameter and 1 metre high - the largest parts ever made using this process. Toshiba / Shibaura are also continuing to develop new medium/large sized machine tools and integrated cells.

IoT + m has been implemented in the Toshiba manufacturing plants, linking and remote monitoring machinery and facilities to provide daily reports on manufacturing, maintenance, performance and productivity. The introduction of the in-house IoT system helps the control division to enhance their already powerful CNC capability.

NOMURA have been manufacturing quality sliding heads for over 70 years. Their high precision, durability and innovation are perfect for large volume production of aerospace, medical and automotive parts. They will be located in Hall 26 Stand C50 where you can see their range of sliding heads including NN-3X, NN-10EX2 and many more. With a footprint of 1.5M² and main/sub spindle speeds of 20,000rpm, the NN-3X sliding head is perfect for manufacturing small intricate, high complex components up to Ø3mm in diameter. The 17 tool layout is the highest amongst equivalent models. Standard accessories include a coolant unit, drill holder and a parts catcher. The NN-10XE2 specialises in high precision and complicated machining to a maximum component size of Ø10mm in diameter and 100mm long. Offering the latest Mitsubishi M80 control, standard accessories include an I.D. tool unit, tool holder, rotary guide bush drive unit and a parts catcher. Catch up with Nomura and see all their sliding heads in Hall 26 at stand C50.

FAT HACO will be demonstrating the TURSMN800 and TUR630-MN high precision CNC lathes, which can be equipped with a simplified control panel consisting of push-buttons and a joystick, similar to those fitted on the SC range of servo-controlled lathes, also enabling these TUR MN lathes to be operated in a simple conventional way. Find them at Hall 26, Stand B04.

To enhance their range of quality high precision products FFG DMC has announced their presence also by exhibiting their newest products DVD5200, DVD4300 and the DT4000. The DVD5200 and DVD4300 twin spindle vertical machining centres are the best in productivity and innovation due to their many benefits for manufacturing volumes of complex quality parts. The twin spindles work individually as well as simultaneously, also having an adjustment between the spindles meaning the position of parts or fixtures in the X-axis is not fixed and can be adjusted. Finally, the newest model to their range is the DT4000 tapping centre with maximum spindle of 35 N.m. Visit FFG DMC in Hall 14 at stand G02.

The Italian manufacturer, Gruppo Parpas, have announced their presence at this year’s show. They’ll be exhibiting impressive high quality, high precision machine tools perfect for aerospace, power generation, automotive, die & mould and general engineering sectors. They’ll be exhibiting the SPEEDLINER, UNIKA BLADE and ROLLER MEGA. Firstly, the SPEEDLINER gantry will has a 3, 4 or 5 axes for high speed machining, full contouring capability and features a monobloc structure with a gantry-type moving carrier and a stationary workpiece. The UNIKA is available with a selection of rotary or trunnion tables, indexers and spindle heads. This high precision machine is perfect for the blading and blisks industries, offering high speed milling and high accuracy achieved through the use of permanent magnet linear motors. The Roller XL, a portal milling centre, is a larger derivative of the standard 5-axis model, providing the same high accuracy and machining capability, but for larger components. Visit Gruppo Parpas’ stand in Hall 13 at Booths C28 and C32.

EMO, being one of the biggest industrial shows in the world, will certainly be a place to visit this September. Leader CNC Technologies is certainly looking forward to attending the event and invite you to visit any of our principals.
