The JIMTOF machine tool exhibition will be held in Tokyo-Japan from the 30th October to the 4th November this year. The six days will show and highlight 82,600m² of machine tools, machine tool accessories and various other technologies. As past records indicate, the show will help contribute the growth of the industry, promote trade throughout the world and also attract many visitors from all over, including the UK.
Kitamura have yet again announced their presence at the exhibition this year, showing off their great range of machine tools. Kitamura are known for innovation and advanced technology and, with this in mind, they will be showing the new Xrosscut with high speed Bi-Lateral cutting. Leader CNC has been introduced to this and other new machines at IMTS, Chicago, earlier this year. Kitamura have developed their own Arumatik –Mi control system, based on a high speed Mitsubishi processor, which is certainly something to look out for at the exhibition.
Toshiba have also announced their presence at the show and will be exhibiting three new machines- the MPJ 2650 gantry mill, a TUE 100 small vertical turning centre and a BTD-100.R10, the smallest in their wide range of horizontal boring machines. For their range of 5 axis machines and to enhance advanced functions for high speed machining and higher accuracy, Toshiba has integrated personal computer architecture to their Tosnuc CNC control in their new PX100 control system.
