Maple Technology has expanded its CNC machining portfolio with the MMT400 and MMT640, designed to bring complex component production back in-house and enable manufacturers to capture higher-value work. The MMT Series combines high rigidity, torque, and multi-axis capability, allowing users to machine demanding components efficiently and accurately in a single setup.

At the heart of the MMT Series is a powerful A2 spindle paired with BT40 milling, delivering both heavy-duty turning and full continuous milling. This combination provides the rigidity and torque required to process tough materials and large diameters, while maintaining precision across complex geometries such as impellers, valves, and prismatic parts.

Unlike conventional turn-mill machines, which often force operators to compromise between heavy-duty turning and effective milling, the MMT Series excels at both. Reduced cycle times, improved positioning accuracy, and the ability to undertake higher-value work are key differentiators.

Engineering Excellence

  • Linear Motion: Hiwin P-class roller linear guideways and C-class ball screws for high rigidity and ±0.006 mm/300 mm positioning accuracy
  • Spindle: BT40 interface, 10,000 RPM with spindle oil cooling for consistent thermal stability
  • Tooling: 24-position rotary ATC with 8-inch hydraulic chuck
  • Turning Capacity: up to Ø630 mm, supporting high-speed multi-axis operations

Applications Across Industries

  • Aerospace: High-precision turbine blades, airframes, and engine components
  • Automotive: Transmission housings, engine components, alloy wheels, hubs, and precision gears
  • Toolmaking: Moulds, dies, and detailed turned tooling

Despite its advanced capability, the MMT Series maintains a compact footprint, making it ideal for multi-sided machining environments with limited floor space. The machines are designed for long-term reliability, built from premium components to ensure consistent performance, seamless integration into existing setups, and minimal operator retraining.

The MMT400 and MMT640 represent Maple Technology’s commitment to delivering high-performance, versatile turn-mill solutions for manufacturers seeking to optimise production, precision, and profitability.
