Introducing the SHIBAURA compact double column 5-axis machining centre MP-(5C) .Unlike other 5-axis machines which use a vertical Z-axis ram and in-built spindle motor, the MP-(5C) uses a fixed position swivelling spindle carrier with a 37kW motor developing 300N.m of torque, the vertical travel being achieved through the elevating rail. This configuration, together with full rotary table, provides the MP-(5C) with an extremely high metal removing capability with considerable time saving for manufacturing large components.
