The applications department, with its experience in machining and methods of manufacture across a wide range of engineering industry sectors, offers a range of services from onsite programming/machining up to complete turn-key solutions. The Training we offer can be targeted towards machine operators, machine setters, programmers and maintenance engineers. Through experienced instruction and individual attention in small groups, we achieve a high level of student success.
Ball bar testing uses a combination of a calibrated, mechanically compressible bar, and specially designed computer software to monitor the position of a machine as it interpolates a pre programmed circle. It can be used for diagnosing the root cause of accuracy and repeatability issues, or for building up a history file of the geometric accuracy of your machine. Ball bar test results form a crucial part of your machines service history, and can aid in bolstering justifications for planned maintenance or plant replacement.
Leader CNC Technologies has 'a reputation to maintain'. Whether your machine breakdown is due to a mechanical, electrical or CNC system fault, our engineers are able to get your machine back into production as quickly as possible. Using our own stock and either specific manufacturers or proprietary OEM sources, we can help identify, locate and provide parts for many machine tools and can also fit them backed up by a full warranty. We also offer CNC machine tool relocation using a team of our own engineers and, if necessary, qualified machine movers, we can de-commission, move and re-commission machines either locally or to an external site. This applies to either single or multiple machines.
Rebuilding or Refurbishing of a machine tool can sometimes be more cost effective than purchasing a new equivalent of its type. Leader CNC Technologies can discuss with you your requirements on the rebuild of a machine and quote accordingly. We can complete the rebuild by either leaving your machine on site and taking away the necessary assemblies or we can remove the whole machine. New parts will be sourced or in some case manufactured. Machine tool reassembled, or reinstalled within your facility and fully tested.
Either as part of new machine supply, providing assistance in installing machines purchased in auctions or after a machine move, we are able to install and commission machines on site. All our equipment used is calibrated to recognised ISO standards. Prior to a machine move, we can benchmark machines with respect to functionality and accuracy and provide a comprehensive report to assist in re-commissioning.
