At a European Dealers Seminar recently held in Dusseldorf Germany, Kitamura announced a range of new machines and technology to supplement the G Series introduced in 2014. Eight new machines will be available in the New Year including 2 vertical machining centres, 3 5-axis machines, 2 horizontal machining centres and a Bridgecentre.
The existing G Series and the new models will all benefit from two derivatives of the Kitamura Arumatik CNC control system – the Mi and the Jr, the choice dependent on machine model and application.
Kitamura have also developed the XrossCut – a 3D machining centre which, when connected to a 3D scanner to video a component, uses the data to create an STL file that is automatically translated to create a machine programme. The XrossCut, with a spindle speed of 70,000 rpm and traverse rate of 120 M/min, is able to cut a finished part with no NC programming required.
Full details of the new technology and machines will be provided on our website soon.
