The JIMTOF machine tool exhibition will be held in Tokyo-Japan from the 17th November to the 22nd November this year. The six days will show and highlight 82,600m² of machine tools, machine tool accessories and various other technologies. As past records indicate, the show will help contribute the growth of the industry, promote trade throughout the world and also attract many visitors from all over, including the UK.
Toshiba have also announced their presence at the show and will be exhibiting three machines- the double column machining centre MCW-4624 gantry mill equipped with a 5 axis head, a TUE 100(S) small vertical turning centre and the newest machine and a BM-1250(U) horizontal 5-axis machining centre. For their range of 5-axis machines and to enhance advanced functions for high speed machining and higher accuracy, Toshiba has integrated personal computer architecture to their Tosnuc CNC control in their new PX100 control system. Kitamura have yet again announced their presence at the exhibition this year, showing off their great range of machine tools. Kitamura are known for innovation and advanced technology and, with this in mind, they will be showing the vertical/horizontal machining centres, bridge type machining centres and mill/turn centres. Kitamura have developed their own Arumatik –Mi control system, based on a high speed Mitsubishi processor, which is certainly something to look out for at the exhibition.
